RAC Ontario Brings Back RenTech Training to Rental Mart
RAC Ontario Brings Back RenTech Training to Rental Mart

For the second year, the Rental Association of Canada (RAC) Ontario will host RenTech: Training for the Rental Professional at the Canadian Rental Mart. The RenTech and the Rental Mart are scheduled to take place Jan. 15-16, 2004, in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, at the Sheraton on the Falls. From 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Jan. 15, team members of construction, general tool or party rental stores can take advantage of RenTech seminars that will focus on generators, and pressure washers from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Product knowledge is crucial in the rental business, increasing the level of customer service and professionalism, as well as boosting sales. Product training is an investment that assures safe and efficient rentals to your customers while cutting down on maintenance costs. From 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, Jan. 16, RenTech will focus on customer service training. The training will use interactive examples and role-playing, and demonstrate practical tips and techniques in the following areas of customer service:
  • Telephone etiquette
  • Negotiation
  • Time management
  • Customer relations – from developing customer loyalty to diffusing angry or upset customers.
The seminars are designed especially for rental store team members. They will gain important product knowledge and customer service skills, and return to the store with confidence and information to share with customers and staff members. RenTech training is designed for rental counter personnel, mechanics, salespeople, equipment/yard technicians, drivers and managers. To register employees for RenTech, or for more information on Rental Mart, contact the Rental Association of Canada, at 800/486-9899 or by e-mail at rentit@escape.ca.
