Lundys of Kentucky introduces custom event structure
Lundy's of Kentucky introduces custom event structure

Lundy’s Special Events, Lexington, Ky., recently introduced the Arcum Emporium, a custom European Entertainment Pavilion to be exclusive in the United States. Complete with two stories, the Arcum encompasses more than 20,000 sq. ft. of entertainment and function space. The custom designed Arcum Emporium arrived from Bad Rappennau, Germany, and has been in design, fabrication and production for more than two years.

“We are ecstatic to have worked with Losberger Germany to create such a marvelous and state of the art structure” says Alissa Tibe, vice president of Lundy’s Special Events. “As the special events business evolves, we saw the need to invest in a unique product which rivals no other. My sister, Abigail, and I traveled to Germany and worked with engineers to create a structure that the U.S. had never seen.”

The 25-m-by-45-m structure features an Apse — a rounded two-story atrium — formed end and clear glass gabled ends trimmed in white. The mezzanine flooring cassette system in rubbed in a light birch finish and the structure can be augmented with up to six double door sets with glass headers as well as four sets of modular stairs. The atrium and surrounding walls include 44 bays of glass; and a 2.5-m-by-45-m exterior balcony adds to the illustrious structure.

“Our goal is to utilize the Arcum for events Lundy’s produces as well as to make the structure available to our peers in the industry. Currently, the Arcum is housed on eight 53-ft. semi trailers and can be dispatched anywhere in the continental U.S. and Canada,” Tibe says.

Lundy’s Special Events is a member of the Lundergan Group family of companies and is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. Based in Lexington, Lundy’s produces more than 400 events each year and provides full turnkey hospitality services nationwide. For more information, go to www.lundyscatering.com.
