Music City Tents acquires T & M Event Rentals
 
The owners of PeachTree Tents & Events, Atlanta, have partnered with the founders of T & M Events Rentals, Nashville, Tenn., to create a new company — Music City Tents & Events, which acquired T & M Event Rentals. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed but the T & M founders, Glenn McConnell and James Terrell, have become equity partners and all T & M personnel have been hired by Music City Tents.
“Before we made the acquisition, we spent several months meeting with event rental business owners and talking with event planners,” said Joe Freedman, Music City’s president. “Their reputation, work ethic and good natured personalities are an excellent fit for Music City Tents.”
“We spent seven years growing T & M and our biggest obstacle has always been undercapitalization,” McConnell said. “The acquisition by Music City Tents offers us expanded regional coverage, added industry experience and significant capital infusion all of which will have an immediate positive impact on our business and our customers,” he said. “With more than a million dollars of brand-new tents, tables, chairs and other party rental items our clients now have an unlimited supply of exceptional rental equipment.”
