Jay Roszell, president and chief executive officer, Volvo Construction Equipment North America, and Michael Farley, president and chief executive officer for Volvo Construction Equipment Rents, announced the appointments in a joint statement Sept. 23.

Torrington formerly was vice president and chief financial officer for Volvo Construction Equipment Rents, serving in that capacity since early 2002. Before joining Volvo Rents, he was chief financial officer for Volvo Construction Equipment Australia, Ltd.

Formerly from Volvo Motor Graders, Ltd., MacFarland held the positions of chief project manager, information systems manager and marketing service manager.
