Aggreko, London, a supplier of temporary power and temperature control equipment, said last week that its first-half net profit rose 22 percent to £87.4 million ($134.9 million) as revenue grew 17 percent to £583.6 million ($905.98 million). The group said its performance was underpinned by major contracts for the Vancouver Winter Olympics and the FIFA World Cup. Aggreko also said it would increase both its interim and final dividend by 50 percent. “We believe that we will make further good progress in the second half and that the outcome for the year as a whole will be slightly better than our previous expectations,” said Philip Rogerson, Aggreko's chairman. |
