Safety Tip: Don’t let your guard down
Safety Tip: Don’t let your guard down
08/29/2010

Machine guards are the last line of defense between a machine and an employee’s or customer’s flesh.

  • Train workers that a machine must be guarded if it is on and running.
  • Teach employees it is never OK to bypass a guard or shield.
  • Never remove warning or caution decals or signs on equipment.
  • Inspect guards before and after every rental.
  • Replace all missing or broken guards immediately.
