Pathway Polymers, Chattanooga, Tenn., the manufacturer of TyrFil, recently achieved four consecutive years without a lost time accident. The company celebrated the accomplishment with an all-employee picnic at their facility.

Joe Danules, CEO of Pathway Polymers, said, “From the top down, we focus on safety first. It is due to the commitment of our employees and the exceptional processes and procedures we have in place, that we are able to celebrate this accomplishment today.”

Pathway Polymers said it is committed to workplace and worker safety and that basic issues, such a proper lifting techniques, appropriate personal protective equipment and employee wellness programs are part of every workday.

The company recently introduced a high visibility clothing program. In addition to proper footwear and safety glasses, employees and visitors also wear orange safety vests when in production and warehouse areas. “These small steps taken by each employee every day are important and are vital to our achieving this milestone,” said Eric Johnson, Pathway Polymers' environmental, health, & safety manager.
