The outlook for the equipment rental industry shows increased optimism as first-quarter performance was better than expected, resulting in a more positive outlook for the full year, according to the latest data released by the American Rental Association (ARA).

Allmand Bros. has unveiled plans for a significant expansion to its manufacturing facility in Holdrege, Neb. The $3 million expansion will include a 40,000-sq.-ft. addition to the present building, as well as the acquisition of an additional 17 acres for parking and finished goods storage. Construction is planned to begin within the next two months and the expansion is expected to be fully operational before the end of the year.
